RUBD joins NY US Amateur Ballroom Dancers Association at the NY Second Annual Dance Parade, May 17. By uniting 4,000 dancers performing 31 dance styles, this terrific event helped heighten public awareness and appreciation of this singularly moving art form. New York has been the birthplace of dance styles such as salsa and tap, and parade dancers were part of a vibrant celebration of rhythmic movement. The parade moved down Broadway to and assembled in Tompkins Square Park in the East Village where performances and free dance lessons were being offered. Thank you to NY USA Dance members for allowing us to join you!
