RFA Meeting November 2, 2005

Attendence: Dennis Smirnov, Bob Allison, Ryan Lasch, Leah, Ken, Vic, Nick

Notes: Dennis stated the details to how the Florida permit to carry works. Contact or see him for further details and how to apply for a permit. Ryan proposed the new By-Laws for how each meeting should be run. The by-laws are to be:

President: shall take charge of all meetings, drills, and events. Shall be empowered to designate all rules and regulations.

Treasurer: Shall keep a record of all receipts and money relations.

Secretary: Shall keep a record and notes of all meetings, new membership, and elections.

Meetings: Shall be run in order…. Presidents, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Public Relations, New and Old Business.

All amendments to the By-Laws must be posted for 30 days, and then voted upon by a 2/3 majority vote at the next regular meeting.

These are just the FOUNDATIONS to the By-Laws and can be changed and worked on for further meetings.

Robert gave a report on his findings for our money status. We now have the funds for trips and tshirts and various other projects.

Events: Early Decemebr we will have Evan Nappen for a lecture.

In early November we will have SWAT commander to lecture possibly from North Brunsiwick.

General Welfare and Plans: RU shooting team will be created soon for competition shooting. Plans are to meet/ practice once a week with .22 rifles. We will work on days and times for practice. More information to follow.

Dennis sought for discounts for RFA members at Old Bridge Rifle Club. The owners stated that they are willing to work with college students and provide discounts. See Dennis if you are interested in joining.

T-shirts ideas and designs are still in the making. We are going to come up with two styles of shirts so that members have a choice.
