Via Modem: Set up your computer to dial into our modem pool. Documentation is available online for the Windows, Linux, and Macintosh Operating Systems, as well as the dialup phone numbers.

From a machine on the network: From any machine that is on the RUnet you can "Telnet" to eden. The commands to use Telnet differ by machine type, but in all cases you want to Telnet to the host eden.rutgers.edu.

From a campus computing center: Campus Computer Centers are available on each campus. From any of these sites you can Telnet to eden.rutgers.edu or open an Xwindow session. For details you should talk to the onsite staff at the Campus Computer Centers.

From a dorm: The Dorm Networking Project provides dormitory students with high speed ethernet connections. The dorm network allows students to easily access university resources such as web pages and class schedules while keeping dorm room phone lines open.
