Fall 1999 The Anthologist
Congratulations, Yellow Baby
Micheal Liska
You left the light on for me because I was afraid of dead people, so I fastened a bit of green thread around your neck when the seasons fell through. Looking out for one another…
On our trip to the countryside, Christopher Johnathan and I compile a photo-documentary entitled "Baby Takes a Ride" to show Lisa what fun you had. Christopher Johnathan suggested a miniature cowboy hat but none were discovered.
Congratulations, Yellow Baby, because you never cried for being so alone. A factory somewhere in Taiwan exists I'm sure piled with happy relatives waiting for you to return, the adventurer from my side.
I must apologize for piercing your skull to make a dandy necklace of you. I only ever wanted for you to see the world.
