Biography

Yao Li was born and brought up in Shanghai, China. She graduated with a B.S. degree in Information  Electronics and Engineering in 2006 at Tsinghua University, Beijing, China. She is now pursuing a Ph.D in Electrical Engineering at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ. She focuses her current research on network coding.

Yao speaks Chinese Mandarin, English and German. She is also a Shanghainese speaker. She has interest in other languages, too.
