Activities

We carry out qualitative research and teach undergraduate and graduate courses on qualitative research methods. Faculty, graduate, and undergraduate students participate in our research and teaching teams. Our research interests are diverse, ranging from sociology of education to social stratification and inequality to medical sociology. Our teams are trained in both quantitative and qualitative methods, and several of us have specialized in qualitative inquiry. We have used a variety of qualitative research methods, including interpretive biographical approaches, focus groups, and in-depth, active interviews. Over the years, we have developed strong connections with several researchers and universities in other Latin American countries and states and localities across Argentina, among them, La Pampa, La Plata, Rio Negro, Cordoba, and Santiago del Estero. Together we have conducted collaborative research projects and organized workshops and seminars.
