The Lady, Herself

I, Kelly Ann McGovern, was born in Newark Beth Israel Hospital, three and a half months earlier, so I guess I must have been pretty excited to get to this life deal started. Ever since I was able to talk I would constantly tell my parents that when I grew up I wanted to be an artist. At the age of 9 I finally broke my parents and was sent to Riverview Fine Arts and Crafts School to learn oil painting. Throughout high school I dabbled in multiple forms of art that included drawing, watercolors, sculpting, wood burning, etc.

When the time came to look at colleges I picked Rutgers, specifically Mason Gross School of the Arts. I had begun to develop a love for the graphic arts. Since coming to Rutgers I have grown in many ways and been able to perfect my skills in graphic design areas such a making posters, t-shirts, package design, stamps, and so on. I'm hoping by the time I graduate I'll have enough skills to get a job in advertising or some similar area.
