Brief Bio

I am currently a PhD student supervised by Prof. Thu D. Nguyen in the Department of Computer Sicence, Rutgers University, New Brunswick. Before I joined Rutgers University, I have been a PhD student, supervised by Professor Murat Demirbas in the Department of Computer Sicence and Engineering of University at Buffalo, The State University of New York. I received M.S. in computer science from University at Buffalo in 2017. Previously, I received M.E. in Electronic Engineering from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, China in 2014, with the supervision of Professor Hongyan Cui. I earned a B.E. degree in Electronic Engineering from Shandong University, China in 2011

My current research focuses on the intersection of distributed system and machine learning/deep learning. In particular, my research aims at enabling large scale machine learning training on distributed machine learning platforms with performance/quality guarantee, better cluster resource utilizaton and low energy consumption. My research also broadly involves cloud computing.
