The plot: Monday morning, we went to check out the falls again... this time in daylight. When I had visited Niagara before, it was summer, so I was especially excited to see the falls decked out with large amounts of ice this time. It was MIGHTY impressive!

After that, it was off for our first jaunt on the Canadian highway system, headed for Toronto. In Toronto, we headed straight for the CN tower, which is "the world's tallest freestanding structure on land" (although it doesn't classify as a building by some standards, it's nonetheless still freaking tall!). The observation decks are fairly cool. Not only do you get a panoramic view of Toronto, one level has glass floors where, if you can handle heights, you can look straight down. Inside the tower, Scott and I also sampled the observation deck cafe, where we ordered a "banana rum buttered belgian waffle". I included its picture below because it was the best dessert Scott or I have EVER had, and the waffle itself was seriously a highlight of the trip. :P

Finally, we headed out of Toronto and made it as far as Kingston, Ontario before stopping for the night. Lucky us, one of the Canadian national rail trains had derailed in Kingston that night, stranding 3000 Canadians and overflowing hotels in the area. Where we did finally stay had "character". Ask me or Scott for stories. :P
