The plot: Wednesday was the last day of our trip. We spent the morning wandering in Old Montreal, the oldest part of the city. The highlight for me was the Notre-Dame Basilica. My pictures are kind of blurry, but it was gorgeous inside.

For the afternoon, we headed a little east of town to Montreal's Olympic Park. Montreal hosted the 1976 summer olympics, and the olympic park hosts a number of things for tourists. we had planned to go up the stadium's tower (which is the tallest inclined tower in the world), but it was so rainy that there was no view from the top, and instead we saw the olympic swimming pool and visited the Biodome (which was originally built for the olympic cycling and judo events). It has a series of plant/animal habitats to walk through and is really well done!

After the Biodome, it was time to head south, and get back to jersey as scott had a flight out of town on Thursday morning. Unfortunately, leaving Montreal by 5pm didn't get us home until 1:30 am since we still had to factor in Montreal rush hour congestion, dinner, and INTENSE fog for the first 200 miles of the drive. Nonetheless it was a fantastic journey and I'm thrilled we did it!
