the plot:
Thankfully, my return journey was much smoother than the journey east. My first flight was at 6:15am, though, which means getting to the airport by 4:15, and waking up even earlier! Luckily, I stayed at a hotel ON the airport grounds, so it was a 3 minute WALK from the hotel to the check in desk, and breakfast was served beginning at 4am! Now, if only they could find a way to make passport control in Newark take less than an hour, life would be perfect!
Summary: even with it cold and rainy most of the time, Scotland was gorgeous, the conference was fantastic, and I hope it's not long before I get to see the UK again!
