Now that the war has began, Muslim Americans close ranks with fellow citizens. We hope and pray for safe return of our young men and women and the safety of the innocent Iraqi people.

We hope that the war will be short and will not result in occupation of Iraq.

AMA ask that Arab and Muslim relief organizations should be given a significant and meaningful role in the relief and reconstruction effort.

In fine, we fully support the statement President Bush had made at the American Enterprise Institute a few days ago, that after Iraq the next step should be liberation of Palestine from Israeli occupation on the basis of a two-state solution with peace and security for both.
