ABOUT CCF
CCF is a ministry whose purpose is to know God and make him known to those who don't know him, starting in the Rutgers Community. We need to be grounded in the Word of God and in fellowship with other believers to be built up, encouraged, and energized in our faith. CCF is only a ministry and its purpose is not to replace a church, but rather be a supplement to it. Come join us every Wednesday at 9:30 pm in SERC 111!

OUR VISION: GOSPEL-CENTERED LIVING
Building up spiritual movements on campus as a fellowship through the love of Christ so that everyone may know the Good News.

Vision Verse
2For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. 3And I was with you in weakness and in fear and much trembling, 4and my speech and my message were not in plausible words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, 5that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.
     1 Corinthians 2:2-5

WHAT WE BELIEVE
We believe that there is but one God who created the universe who exists eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus Christ as God our Savior, being both fully human and divine, was crucified and raised to life, sacrificing Himself for the atonement of our sins. Through Him, all who believe have forgiveness of sin and gain access to God our Father through Him. We believe in the Holy Spirit as the indwelling presence and transforming power given to all believers as well as in the authority of the Holy Bible as the divinely inspired Word of God.

MINISTRIES
Large Group
The purpose of CCF large group is to join followers and seekers of Christ in a comfortable, relaxing environment where they might constantly learn and yearn for God's gracious and perfect will for them as well as bond and fellowship with fellow believers and seekers. It is our wish that large group might give you a new/renewed outlook on life through God and cultivate healthy, God-centered relationships. We meet every Wednesday at 9:30 pm in SERC 111. Come join us!

Small Group
Small group is an informal gathering of people who are interested in discovering all aspects of Christianity in a smaller setting. Those who are interested in knowing God and getting connected with a community of believers are invited to come discuss with those who have been solidified in their faith. The purpose of small groups is not for a "leader" to explain to the novice their knowledge, but rather it's a place where peers can edify each other and seek solution from God. Some aspects of small group include prayer, worship, Bible study and discussion, fellowship, community, and small group activities.

Weekly meetings are held at various dorms around campus (as shown below). Please do not hesitate to contact any of the small group leaders if you have any questions and/or need a ride.

Discipleship
Discipleship involves having an older brother or sister keep you accountable in your walk with Jesus. You will be building a relationship with one another, delving deeper into the Word of God, and sharing about how God has been working in your lives. As it says in Hebrews 10:24-25, "And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another--and all the more as you see the Day approaching."

Oftentimes it's so easy to get caught up in the busyness of our everyday lives, so we encourage you to participate in the discipleship program because sometimes we need simple reminders, and we need the help and encouragement of our brothers and sisters.

Prayer
Prayer meetings/huddles are a place for brothers and sisters to come together, share their hearts with each other, and pray. Ephesians 6:18 ("And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.") calls us to pray for anything and everything. Keep in mind that prayer is how we talk to our Heavenly Father, so let us pray from our hearts. Feel free to submit prayer requests at the prayer request page.

2011-2012 prayer meetings and leaders to come.

Welcoming
What's better than receivng a welcome package the first time you come to CCF? We want you to have a good experience at CCF and get you coming back - that's the job of the welcoming team (greeting newcomers and members, ensuring no one is neglected, handing out welcome packages and contact cards to newcomers). Hopefully then, newcomers will feel at home and see CCF as a great place to establish new friendships with people who will encourage and help them through their struggles as a Christian.

Visitations
As a member of the visitations team, you will have the opportunity to visit and encourage newcomers, fellowship attendees, and the servant team! At CCF, we value community outside of large group and small group, so this is a good way to get to know everyone and see how they're doing.

If you are interested in joining any of these ministries and/or have any questions, please feel free to contact any of the SaLT members.
