ISA WELCOMES YOU
Being away from home, friends and family, one thing that will help you feel at home is joining an organization that is made of people like you, people you can relate to and enjoy with. We are very happy to invite you to one such organization: The International Students Association (ISA), which represents the international undergraduate students of Rutgers University.
ABOUT US
ISA is comprised of more than 500+ students from all around the world, and represents the international student community at Rutgers. It was initially created for the international undergraduate students at the New Brunswick campus, but ANY Rutgers student wanting to learn about different cultures is more than welcome to join ISA!
ISA provides international students an opportunity to mingle and share their experiences at Rutgers, the ISA provides a forum for dialogue between students from a plethora of cultures and backgrounds by having social events like games/ sports days, competitions etc.
AT YOUR HELP
Adjusting to a new environment can be challenging. At ISA, we understand your needs and problems because we dealt with similar issues and situations as you and survived. This gives you a valuable resource to tap into for everything from finding housing off-campus, resolving temporary housing issues, getting books for cheaper prices to getting help adjusting to your foreign education.
BE PART OF THE COMMUNITY
Being a part of ISA can give you a community bonding experience. You will meet people sharing your situations and challenges. It also gives you a medium to express your ideas and views on various issues.
GREAT NETWORKING AND COMMUNICATIONS
Unlike many other organizations catering to specific groups, ISA has members of all different backgrounds, race, faith, majors, careers, tastes, hobbies and so on. You get the advantage of being able to directly communicate with anyone who matches your interests and build a good network.
GETTING INVOLVED AND HAVING FUN
Being involved in various extra-curricular activities is the key to a well-rounded education experience. In ISA you can take part in various activities all year round and be proud of what you’ve done for the community. Getting involved will also provide you with an opportunity to meet a lot of new people, have fun and get a welcome and pleasant break from your classes and studies. Every year, we organize traditional ISA events such as the Ice Breaker, International Fair, Movie Nights, and International Games week apart from other equally interesting events. These events cater to the type of membership, which makes your involvement and ideas are so important to ISA!
