Events Shows Officers Ru-tan News

As you may have guessed though out the year the RUJCA will have many event and activities going on, but first there are a couple of things you maybe wondering.

What is JCA?

RUJCA (Rutgers University Japanese Cultural Association) is a student organization dedicated to the appreciation of Japanese pop culture. While in the past, this has traditionally focused on Japanese animation, the club has increasingly broadened its realm to include Japanese movies (old and new), dramas, and rock music groups to expand its focus and to better live up to the purpose of the club. Typical club meetings include viewing and discussion of two or three episodes of anime, while on frequent occasions we also present drama episodes, whole movies, or collections of PVs (promotional videos) from Japanese rock and pop artists.

How to Join?
RUJCA is not a strict organization, but more of a collection of friends and people of similar interests who meet once a week to enjoy themselves together. Therefore, joining JCA simply requires you to attend the meetings. JCA meets weekly at Murray Hall 212 (last years location may not bee the same this year) on Friday nights starting at 8:00 until whatever time you want to leave. If you are interested in weekly updates about the club, e-mail our secretary to be added to our mailing list. We hope you come and enjoy our club!
