Rutgers University Pagan Student Association

Every Wednesday
Rutgers Student Center
7pm Room 407

The Rutgers University Pagan Student Association (RUPSA) is home to all those in the Rutgers University community who are interested in alternative and Pagan religions, including Wicca, Asatru, Druidry, and Discordianism. This is by no means an exhaustive list -- only an attempt to give some idea of the varied group we represent.

RUPSA was formed with a couple of goals in mind. Its meant to be a place where like-minded individuals can meet up and make friends with similar interests and experiences. It's also meant to be a method of exploring the larger New Brunswick Pagan community since our area is blessed with so many different active groves, covens, fellowships, and groups. RUPSA has often acted as a springboard for members who want to get involved in local groups, but don't have any clue as to how.

What actually happens at club meetings varies from week to week. At some points, club members may be listening to lectures given by local experts on history and theory. Other times, members will be involved in very hands on workshops -- some extremely hands on, like our Henna workshops or bellydancing lessons.

We are the third oldest university pagan group and the oldest continuously operating pagan student organization in the country. We were founded in 1994 by Barbara Dove and Chris Gillette.
