" Here's a little about us. "

What We Do

Through our club, we hope to promote the art of screenwriting throughout the Rutgers community. We encourage our members to bring in scripts or anything they wrote for the purpose of workshopping and providing constructive criticism so that they can improve their work.

Meetings

During our meetings our members bring in scripts, short stories, or plays and we do a workshop. What this means is that we read the works out loud and then give feedback or answer any questions the author has. Our members encourage a fun, friendly environment where writers and even non-writers can come together to discuss writing, film, or anything else.

The Showcase!

At the end of each semester, in conjuction with the club Knight Time Productions (focuses on the production aspects of filmmaking), we hold a showcase where members can submit any films they made during the semester and show it to a large Rutgers audience. We also have plenty of food and drinks for all.

Trips

For the past few semesters our club has gone on a variety of exciting trips. Best of all, the club covers all of the costs. Some trips we went to were The Museum of Television and Radio in NYC, a taping of Late Night with Conan O'Brien, a screening of Wes Anderson's The Darjeeling Limited, and the AMC Best Pictures Showcase (all day event where you get to see all of the best picture nominees). We will definately continue this during the fall 2008 semester. Come to meetings, your input is always welcome in planning trips!
