September
16, 2002 And since I was going to put this up on my blog but can't: Happy Birthday, Cara!
Blogger's
broken for me, so I haven't been able to post in a few weeks. Not
sure how much of this is changes at blogger.com and how much is
because I'm currently hosting it on eden. Soon I'll have
uberbitter.com hosted (I've owed the domain for over a year, so it's
about time I did something with it). And for free even. So keep an
eye out over the next few weeks for the emergence of uberbitter.com.

From now on I
will only be using this space for website update announcements
because I added a new link on the side that will take over my
ramblings. I like the idea of livejournal but I hated jumping on
the bandwagon, so Gabe pointed out to me a product called Blogger
that is very similar but more customizable. Very cool. So check
there if you are interested in my latest level of neurosis.
This just isn't
cool. And I completely don't agree that I am highly histrionic or
dependent (but I do tend to set unreasonably high standards for myself).

I've been
noticing lately that there are a lot of lonely people. Just look on
any random livejournal page, and read all about how miserable
everyone is. What is wrong with us? If we're all so lonely, why
are we calling or visting each other? I like all the people who
keep saying how lonely they are, but I haven't exactly picked up the
phone either. Why? 1. Because I am so fucking lazy when it comes
to things like that and 2. Because I would rather do nothing and
have a chance to do the one thing really, really want to do
than to do something that would kinda be filling time and
potentially miss out on that which would make be very happy. Ah,
I'm such an extremist.
Since the picture
in the upper left corner isn't exactly a common sight, I figure I
should mention what it is. It is
the Small Magellanic Cloud is an irregular galaxy about 200,000
light years away from our own (very close, relatively
speaking). The color in the image has indeed been altered.
Eventually, hopefully
soon, I will get around to getting the hookup tree online (it has to be soon
or the paper that the original is written on is going to disintegrate). Until
then, humor yourself with the rest of the links at left. I've actually
been updating the profound statements fairly regularly, so if you haven't
seen them in while, take a look.
