Bush signs bill making it crime to harm fetus WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Bush invoked the case of pregnant murder victim Laci Peterson on Thursday as he signed legislation expanding legal rights of the unborn. "The suffering of two victims can never equal only one offense," Bush said.

Crying murder when C-section refused Utah prosecutors charged a woman with murder for failing to undergo a Caesarean section ("C-section") delivery, a failure that allegedly resulted in the death of one of her unborn twins.

Menendez celebrates women's history month. In honor of Women's History Month, Representative Mary Norton was honored by Rep. Menendez. Rep. Norton was the first Democratic woman elected to Congress from an eastern state and represented the 12th District of New Jersey (then Bayonne and Jersey City) for thirteen terms, from 1925 to 1951.

Politicians' daughters discuss 'the missing vote' The daughters of some leading politicians -- including some Democratic presidential hopefuls -- may not agree on who belongs in the White House, but they agree that not enough young women are engaged in the political process.

President Bush on Friday used a weeklong Congressional recess to install William H. Pryor Jr., the Alabama attorney general. Mr. Pryor has gained prominence as an outspoken opponent of legalized abortion and as an advocate for a greater Christian influence in government. Democrats said that his fervent advocacy on those and other issues demonstrated that he could not be trusted to separate his personal views from the law if he were confirmed. But the president and other Republicans disputed Mr. Pryor's critics.
